Hi, I’m Becky

For the last 5 years we have lived in our fixer upper home. We’ve done little projects here and there but now we are getting to the good stuff. I’ve always loved interior decorating and had a vision of the potential our house had lying in store.

I hope you follow along with our everyday life and feel inspired to create a space you love no matter where you are.

The cabinets are in. We still have a lot of things to finish. The sink needs to go in, the electrician is coming tomorrow to hook up the electrical in the peninsulas, the cabinets will get templated for counter tops tomorrow, and we need to paint.

Cameron is planning on priming tonight. We filled in all the nail holes yesterday and caulked. But I’m excited about how the layout turned out! My favorite part is the oven hood. I drew him a picture of what I wanted and our cabinet maker got it exactly right.

I will still be another week before we can put in the sink. I don’t know how people do the no kitchen thing long term. I’m only a few days in and its hard because we cook so much at home.

This space is so much better utilized now as a peninsula instead of the bay window and table. Cameron and I were both saying we don’t miss the bay window at all. It functions so much better this way.

The far peninsula is feeling a little unbalanced at this point because of the shelves. But I think once the pendant lights go in it will be much more balanced. We are waiting to order a few things until memorial day weekend because I’m sure they’ll have sales!
