Hi, I’m Becky

For the last 5 years we have lived in our fixer upper home. We’ve done little projects here and there but now we are getting to the good stuff. I’ve always loved interior decorating and had a vision of the potential our house had lying in store.

I hope you follow along with our everyday life and feel inspired to create a space you love no matter where you are.

Downstairs Bathroom Progress

Downstairs Bathroom Progress

The downstairs bathroom is getting really close to completion. We finished the hard things, new tile, vanity, countertop is on, new hardware, new light fixture (completed after this photo).

We still have several things on the check list. Finishing wainscoting, caulking, hanging planter, towel ring, wallpaper, and art. See the prior post for all the plans.

I found a true before picture of our bathroom in my photo archives!

It’s crazy how different it is right?! The new painted white walls make it so much brighter than before! We are going to add wallpaper back though so we’ll see if that affects the brightness of the room. My other favorite part is Cameron added window trim inside of the bathroom feeling cheap it now looks like quality.

Hale Navy Bathroom Vanity

I’m really happy with how the bathroom vanity came out. We needed to do custom cabinets to fit the space. This was Cameron’s first time building a vanity or any cabinet for that matter! The paint is Benjamin Moore Hale Navy. We used Benjamin Moore Advance with a semi gloss finish.

I am glad the bathroom is coming out better than I could have imagined. It’s not even done yet and Cameron and I both agree this is our favorite room in the house. Haha!

Our little powder room is so tiny! I’m not sure how to get a good looking picture of the whole thing! But I wanted to show the new tile. Our old tile was white, slick, and shiny. Our new tile masks dirt way better and its much more matte. I like that it kind of has the look and feel of real stone.

The new countertop is like a dream come true. It was a remnant at our local dealer and we got a good deal on it because of that. Well I think it was a good deal. If you ask Cameron he might tell you differently :)

In the above picture we have a few trim pieces to put on still so everything is even. I can’t wait to show you the finish. It’s going to be so GOOD!
